Its Strange

Poem about Remembrance Day. Won 1st on two levels and 2 on the next.

It's Strange How We Stand In Silence
For Two Whole Minutes Today.
It's Strange That People Come Up To Speak
Even Though I Don't Listen To What They Say.
It's Strange That We Wear Poppies.
On Our Shirts, Atop Our Hearts.
It's Strange That We All Pay Respect
Even Though I Don't Take Part.
It's Strange We Have To Listen To The Teachers
As They Talk About Who Died.
It's Strange That They Wasted Their Time
I've Started To Decide.

But Then Our Teacher Puts On A Video
About World War Two.
This Video Begins To Scare Me
The Things They Went Through.
So Many People Died
All The Way Across The Sea.
They Gave Up Their Lives
For Disrespectful People Like Me.

It's Strange How I Once Didn't Care
About Our Women And Men.
It's Strange How So Many People
Still Do Not Honour Them.
It's Strange They Think Remembrance Day
Is Such A Waste Of Time.
It's Strange How They Do Not Realize
That Arrogance Crosses The Line.
It's Strange That They Do Not Feel Sorrow
Even Though So Many Cry.
It's Strange That That Today War Is Still Going On
And For Pointless Reasons, People Die.

Preaches From A Psycho

You Say We're Victims And We're Not The Same
Well We're Different And We're The Ones To Blame
Push A Wall Until It Falls Down
I'm So Small I Fear I Might Drown
Throw Me A Rope And Get Me Outta Here
I Gotta Go The Time Is Getting Near

Listen To The Sounds Of Broken Men
They'll Lay On The Ground 'Till God Knows When
I Clench My Fists And Stare At The Chance
I'm Gonna Miss My Time For Romance
Quit your Whining And Close The Door
Here's A Sign That There Aint No More

Lay In Bed And Sleep The Day Away
Listen To What I Said And What I'm Gonna Say
Never Bow, And Never Agree
Its Time For You To Be You And Me To Be Me
As I Lay And Remeber all My Sins
This How The Story Starts And Begins

I Don't Wanna Come To Hear You
I Need Advice On What To Do
Pass Out In The Car Pass Out On The Floor
It Aint Far, Come On Lets Go To The Shore
Play In The Waters Of Truth And Agony
Decide To Call Her To See How She's Been

I've Given Almost Everything
If Theres Anything Wrong, Tell I'm Sure there's Something
